TAULMARIL
*Inactive Immortal*
Many years ago, an young elf walked out alone into the wild lands; his
name was Taulmaril. Away from the safety of the elven woods, he was
determined to explore the world in full. This young elf was a High Elf,
or known in the elven lands as Gold Elves, and he was a prince in his
land. His golden skin, pointy ears, black hair and keen black eyes
marked him as different, even from the other elves he encountered in the
world.
For many years he explored this land, learning the ways of nature better
than any elf before him, and sharing that knowledge with those he saw
as worthy, so that they too might protect the wild lands. After a time,
he began to notice that evil was once again gaining sway in the world,
and he realized that while his nature-based powers could destroy such
evil, it could not heal the wounds such evil caused. He then devoted
himself to the path of priesthood of the only goodly deity he knew, the
Great God Sabien. The powers Sabien granted him allowed him to heal and
protect those who were too weak to defend themselves, and in a great
battle against the troll Varruk and the vampire Mora, Taulmaril was
defeated.
On the brink of death, the Great God Sabien shed a tear for this valiant
defender of the light. That tear, containing a piece of Sabien's
essence, fell from the heavens and entered the wounds from which
Taulmaril suffered. He found himself instantly healed, and immortal with
all of his life and powers restored. He now serves Sabien as the Lord
of Nature, helping those of the light strive to push back the growing
darkness.
