The world of Insymnia is a frightening and beautiful one,
in which you will become an inhabitant of the Middle Earth,
where creatures such as Dwarves, Elves and Vampires
constantly engage in battle for complete supremacy. Venture
from the arctic, winter lands of the north into the hot
sands of the eastern desert, engage in constant, complex
quests given to you by the mobile inhabitants of the world,
and participate in huge battles between your guild and
another. Sail across an ocean to another continent, ally
yourself with your brethren to protect your homeland from
invaders, or fly throughout the heavens in the form of a
dragon. The possibilities within Insymnia are infinite.
The MUD world of Insymnia is ever-expanding to fit your
needs. You will go through 100 levels, and remort once into
another class, and a second time into the powerful Hero
class, for a total of 300 levels. Players are thus given the
opportunity to become as powerful as they desire, with the
huge and increasing number of skills and spells available.
However, the MUD will also increase its difficulty, with
mobiles becoming infused with more and more Artificial
Intelligence to match. There is unrestricted Player Killing
giving you the ability to kill anyone you see fit. The
Gods are constantly in contact with mortals to get better
ideas for improving the MUD, as we have seen most of our
good ideas come from those who actually play the MUD. We
are currently within the Forth Age, where those who play
will become the legends spoken of in reverent tones years
from now. Become one of those legends.
